What is creativity?
This is a big question!
Creativity is being able use a set of skills like working in groups, using your imagination to come up with new and original ideas. Often linked to the arts, the arts enable people to find a way to express these ideas, sharing them with other or just getting your ideas out there.
Curious Minds believes it is the right of all people to realise their creative potential including young people and this website will help encourage people to work creativity with young people in your communities.

How can I get in involved in creative stuff in my area?
There are a few ways in which to get involved!
Registering on the site is a start to help you connect. Are you part of a youth group or club, register your group on this site to find out about projects or give us some ideas. You can use your youth club e-mail or your workers details as the contact. You can only be contacted using this site which will not show your details.
You can talk to some workers in your town. The Young People Service has a website which tells you all about activities in your town, you may have a local group near you can join. The youth council, made up of young people can also help you and you can also find out more about the youth council through the resource section
Each district like Pendle has an arts officer who can also let you know how to find out about activity.
Talk to your teacher and they will also help you find out about activity and if they don't know get them to register on this site

I am part of a group, how do I get some funding to start a project?
The Young Peoples service have a pot of money which you can apply for with the support of an adult, this is called the Youth Opportunities Fund and is available to young people in each town. To find out more about this funding contact your local youth worker.
When you register on the site you can find local workers and also access other examples of projects to maybe inspire ideas for your project.
