History
Curious Minds has evolved from the successful delivery of Arts Council England’s Creative Partnerships programme.
Arts Council England established Creative Partnerships teams in Merseyside in 2003 and East Lancashire in December 2005.
Since then these teams have built a solid reputation for the efficient and effective delivery of the Creative Partnerships programme, developing strategic and operational alliances and partnerships with a range of individuals and organisations across the educational, cultural and regeneration sectors.
In 2008 Arts Council England transferred the management of Creative Partnerships to Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE) and 25 area delivery organisations (ADOs) are now responsible for delivering the programme across England.
After a period of consultation and planning carried out in 2008, it was decided to establish Curious Minds as an Area Delivery Organisation and operate as an independent charity and a company limited by guarantee.
The local authorities in which the Creative Partnerships programme is now delivered by Curious Minds are:
- Lancashire
- Blackburn with Darwen
- Blackpool
- Liverpool
- Knowsley
- St. Helens
- Wirral
- Sefton
- Halton
- West Cheshire
