Working With NEETs Course

Working With Young People Not In Education, Employment or Training (NEET)

This course, in partnership with The Merseyside Youth Association and The Waterways Trust & British Waterways, aims to enable practitioners to develop an understanding of how the principles of social pedagogy can inform their work with NEET 16-18 year olds.

At the end of the course you will:

• Have new techniques to combat negative thinking and behavioural cycles.
• Be able to identify the barriers faced by NEET young people and how you can support them in their transition into sustained education, employment and training
• Take away new practical skills and tools to improve the motivation of NEET young people.
• Have learned the importance of designing and implementing flexible provision, and linking with community.

This course takes place at The Waterways Trust and British Waterways, The National Waterways Museum, South Pier Road, Ellesmere Port, 10am - 4pm on the 8th December 2011.
