Module 2: Understanding the range of arts and cultural school trips available

Curiosity Outside the Classroom School Trips & Visits

Aims and description

This module explores the wide range of opportunities available for school trips and visits, from museums and galleries to theatres, heritage sites, and creative workshops. It is designed to help you see the full range of what’s possible and expand your current options.

You will be encouraged to think creatively about the types of experiences you offer, including both well-known venues, new-to-you opportunities and local amenities.

This module highlights how different types of trips can bring learning to life, helping students make real-world connections and develop a deeper understanding of subjects. It supports teachers to build a more varied and balanced trips programme, ensuring all students have access to rich and inspiring experiences over time.
