Aims and description
This module uses a simple planning template and a set of prompt questions to help you bring together everything you’ve learnt so far and start planning your next school trip.
It is designed to help you think clearly about your aims, your students, and how the trip links to your curriculum and school priorities. The prompts will support you in making decisions about what to include, what matters most, and how to structure the experience.
You will have the chance to map out your ideas in a practical way, so that by the end of the module you have a clear, workable plan rather than just a starting point.
The focus is on making the planning process straightforward and purposeful, giving you confidence to design a trip that is engaging, well-organised, and has a strong impact on learning.
We aim to:
-
Build confidence in trip design
Develop teachers’ confidence in using simple tools and prompts to create a practical, well-organised trip plan with a strong impact on learning. -
Planning with purpose
Help teachers make informed decisions about aims, student needs, and curriculum links to ensure trips are meaningful and aligned with school priorities. -
Turning learning into a plan
Support teachers in bringing together key learning and translating it into a clear, structured plan for a school trip.
